ServerShield Deployment
The ServerShield Gateway is a network-based, server vulnerability shields appliance that protects unpatched server vulnerability from remote exploits. ServerShield Gateways are deployed inline, directly in the network path of the protected servers. From this vantage point in the network, the ServerShield Gateway is capable of discovering servers, determining which applications and services are running on those servers, and applying the appropriate inline corrections to the traffic bound for a particular server.
The ServerShield Manager is an appliance-based solution that provides the administrative capabilities for multiple ServerShield Gateways. Updates, including both product updates and new protection content, are delivered to the ServerShield Manager and then distributed to the ServerShield Gateways.
