Veteran Marketer Gregory Ness to Lead Outbound Campaign for Breakthrough Patch Proxy Solution to Enterprise Patching Dilemma

 

CUPERTINO, CA, March 1, 2006 – Blue Lane™ Technologies, provider of the industry’s first inline patch proxy for enterprise servers, today announced that enterprise application and security veteran Gregory Ness has joined the company as vice president of corporate marketing. Mr. Ness has extensive experience in helping some of the best known networking technology companies today establish new product categories and industry leadership positions through innovative marketing and communications campaigns.

Mr. Ness was previously a marketing executive at Juniper Networks, Redline Networks, IntruVert Networks, ShoreTel, Visa International and Verizon. Most recently at Juniper, he led the development of its new “Master of IT” customer recognition program and also helped drive substantial increases in eMarketing program performance. Prior to that he was at Redline where he helped to establish the company as a leader in Web application delivery, allowing the company to grow revenue by 1000% until acquisition in May 2005 by Juniper Networks. Earlier in his career, he was at IntruVert Networks, where he helped the company establish and lead the intrusion detection systems category, resulting in its acquisition by McAfee. In addition, while at ShoreTel, he helped the company establish itself in the emerging enterprise VoIP space.

 

Mr. Ness brings more than 19 years of integrated marketing communications experience, managing advertising, analyst and press relations, lead generation, messaging, positioning and programs for large and growth companies. He was a company spokesperson for Verizon for nine years, where he also won an “Award of Excellence” for marketing program innovation.

 

Mr. Ness earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Reed College and a Master’s Degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
